Now vs In 5 Years — each member's age is calculated from their date of birth, then the whole membership is re-aged five years into the future. A member aged 57 today therefore appears in the 60+ band under "In 5 Years".

Youth (%) and Median Age — the share of members under 35 and the age of the "middle" member. Low youth or a high median age means the party is ageing and needs more young people to register as members.

60+ Now / 60+ in 5 Years — the senior base today versus in five years. A large jump indicates the pool of long-serving members will soon phase out of active service and should be replaced through registration drives.

Members With DOB — only members with a recorded birth date can be aged. If this is well below Total Members, this snapshot understates the picture; completing birth dates improves accuracy.

What to do with it — use the Key Insights section below to decide where new-member registration drives and youth engagement should be prioritised (e.g. the constituency whose membership is ageing fastest).
